Postcards of western Ukraine from the early 20th century

This collection showcases postcards from the early 20th century, capturing everyday life and unique moments across what are now western Ukrainian regions: Lviv (outside the city itself), Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Chernivtsi, and Zakarpattia.

The images range from bustling streets and architectural landmarks of towns and cities to glimpses of village traditions, sweeping landscapes, military scenes, and individuals.

Most messages on the postcards are written in German and Polish, though other languages occasionally appear, adding to the richness of this historical mosaic.
