“It’s a picture of my mother Nadia Kravchenko and her friend Liusia Bystrova on a walk in the woods near Kyiv. Both are students. Nadia will become an archeologist and Liusia will work in cybernetics. They will remain friends for all their lives. Both are wearing dresses made from staple fabric. Such garments were usually sewn at home from fabric remnants. Aunt Liusia recollects that at the time there weren't any dresses in stores. All clothes were sewn by her mother”.
