The collection consists of four 16 mm films made between 1964 and 1975 by various authors. Some of the footage was shot by Yaroslav Kulynych. Most of the footage is original, while one film combines it with television footage from the 1970s.
The films in the collection are documentaries. Thematically, the collection captures public rituals commemorating the leaders of the Organisation of Ukrainian Nationalists, Andrii Melnyk and Yevhen Konovalets. The focus is on mourning and memorial rallies attended by figures of the Ukrainian liberation movement in exile.
The footage features Mykola Kapustiansky, Oleg Shtul-Zhdanovych, Stepan Bandera, and Stepan Lenkavskyi. The events are attended by clergy of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic and Autocephalous Orthodox Churches, representatives of youth organisations, in particular Plast, and the Ukrainian community in Europe.
The collection includes footage from the following cities: Luxembourg, Munich, and Rotterdam.
