The collection contains one home movie of a wedding, filmed on 16mm in the 1970s in the Poltava region. It documents the rituals and practices of Soviet wedding ceremonies typical of that time, which combine folk customs (welcoming the newlyweds with bread and salt, a family festive feast) with Soviet ones, in particular, laying flowers at the monument to soldiers who died in World War II.
The film was digitised as part of the project "Safeguarding Ukrainian Heritage of Amateur Films and Home Movies", implemented with the support of The Modern Endangered Archives Program.
