Tetiana Dorodnitsyna

Tetyana Dorodnitsyna's collection contains thirteen films made between 1984 and 2000 on Super 8 and 8mm film by her father, Oleksandr Dorodnitsyn.

The films document moments from the private life of the Dorodnitsyn family: walks and trips around the cities of Crimea, Tetyana's childhood in Sevastopol, vacations with family and friends, and weddings. The films are filled with scenes of family leisure activities in the southern city, including beach holidays and trips to the Crimean mountains, as well as shots of Sevastopol's public spaces, landmarks, and recreational areas in Greater Yalta. The films often feature Alexander Dorodnitsyn's wife, Olha, daughter Tetyana, and his mother, Maria.

Some of the films have the characteristics of portrait photography, with the subjects posed in the apartment or outdoors, often in fashionable clothing.

One of the films depicts episodes from Alexander Dorodnitsyn's stay in Minsk and Toropets.

The collection includes footage from the following cities: Sevastopol, Inkerman, Bakhchisaray, Alupka, Yalta, Molodechno, Minsk, and Toropets.

The films were digitised as part of the project "Safeguarding Ukrainian Heritage of Amateur Films and Home Movies", implemented with the support of The Modern Endangered Archives Program.
