Maryna Khrypun

The collection of Zaporizhzhia resident Marina Khrypun consists of twelve films made between 1980 and 1990 on 8mm film.

The films mainly capture scenes from private life: walks and trips, leisure time with family and friends, weddings, childhood, household chores, and everyday life. Some of the films depict the leisure activities of young people in the late Soviet era, including gatherings and feasts in dormitories and apartments, as well as picnics in nature, accompanied by sports and dancing.

A separate theme of the films is participation in political events—such as the October demonstrations.

The films were digitised as part of the project "Safeguarding Ukrainian Heritage of Amateur Films and Home Movies", implemented with the support of The Modern Endangered Archives Program.
